Project: Repair, maintenance and modifications to silos for Peterhead south base
Description
Repair and replate silos on all areas under steel thickness using propane/oxygen gas burners and grinders to cut out marked areas, MMA welding was selected as the preferred choice for welding due to the environmental conditions and onsite works. After all repairs were completed the silos were then blasted and inspected for any affected areas. Connecting spools was fabricated in Peterhead workshop and installed to silos onsite. Once all fabrication, repairs and inspection was completed the silos were then coated and ready for delivery.
